My child was admitted to G.D. Goenka Public School in Class 1 and studied there for around 11 years. Based on our long experience, I feel it is important to share an honest review for other parents considering admission.
The school experience was satisfactory during the primary years. However, from middle school onward, we noticed a significant decline in the overall academic environment, discipline standards, and student support systems.
Despite being a premium fee-charging institution, there appeared to be limited individual attention for average students, while stronger academic performers received most of the focus. Many parents were left dependent on private tutors for their child’s progress.
Attendance and discipline in higher classes also seemed concerning. Student attendance was often low, and there were frequent reports of misconduct, conflicts among students, and unhealthy habits developing on campus. In our experience, such issues were not addressed with the seriousness expected from a reputed institution.
After careful thought, I have decided to withdraw my child after Class 11, as I believe continuing further may not provide the positive academic and personal environment we expected.
My sincere suggestion to parents is to thoroughly evaluate all available options before taking admission. A school should provide not only academics, but also discipline, guidance, and a safe environment for every child.
